Starting a full-scale dairy farm requires significant capital investment, resources and guidance. Hence, there is a need for creating opportunities for new entrants to experiment on a small scale. However, it is easier said than done. First of all, new entrants find it difficult to get a space which is located in an area having access to required facilities. The second challenge they face is to sell their daily milk produce at market competitive price, with the middlemen taking undue advantage of their position. The lack of guidance is another key challenge for new comers.
